Car vs. bike accident on Indiana near 103rd injures cyclist
LUBBOCK, TX – A vehicle struck and seriously injured a bicyclist this past Sunday night on the south side of Lubbock, reports Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
The accident happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Indiana Avenue near 103rd Street. This is just west of All Saints Episcopal School and north of Lubbock-Cooper North Elementary School.
Police say that a northbound vehicle struck a northbound bicyclist along Indiana Avenue.
Medics transported the bicyclist, identified as Charles Clay, to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver, identified as 24-year-old Juan Vallin, remained at the scene.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash, and it’s unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role.
