Pickup vs. semi crash at Wadley and Mark injures Midland man

MIDLAND, TX – A man sustained serious injuries Tuesday in a wrong-way collision involving a semi at a busy Midland intersection, reports Your Basin.

The incident occurred just before noon at the intersection of Wadley Avenue and Mark Lane, which is just northwest of Texas Pride Plaza on the northwest side of the city.

Police say that the 77-year-old driver of a southbound 2000 Mazda B-series pickup neglected to honor the right of way at the intersection and collided with a westbound 2024 Freightliner M2.

Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to an area hospital. Authorities identified him as James Holman Jr.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
