Solo crash on FM 974 and FM 2038 kills 1, injures 4

BRYAN, TX – An 18-year-old woman died, and four other people were hurt Saturday in a single-vehicle accident on the far north side of Bryan, reports KBTX 3.

Shortly before 7 p.m., emergency teams responded to the intersection of FM 974 and FM 2038. This is northeast of Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Police say the driver of a westbound Dodge Ram 1500 drove into a tree after failing to heed a stop sign.

The front seat passenger, identified as Norma Flores, sustained fatal injuries.

Medics transported four other passengers to an area hospital. Their injuries are rumored to be serious.

The driver, whom police have not yet named publicly, did not require hospitalization.

A full investigation is underway.
