JIM WELLS CO., TX – A 54-year-old Sugarland man died last Thursday in a three-vehicle collision along the highway in northeast Jim Wells County, reports kiii3 News.
The incident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of TX-359 and FM 534, which is just southwest of Sandia and about 45 miles northwest of Corpus Christi.
Police say that a southbound Dodge Ram collided with a Ford F-150 and an Infinity when the latter two vehicles attempted to turn left from the northbound side of the highway onto FM 534.
The crash pushed the Dodge Ram off of the highway, causing it to overturn. The driver of the Dodge, identified as James Siecko, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the other two drivers to an area hospital with minor injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
