1 hurt, 2 arrested after police chase, crash at Commerce and 2nd

FORT WORTH, TX – A Fort Worth police chase ended in a two-vehicle crash with injuries at a busy downtown intersection, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident occurred Monday in the area of Commerce Street and East 2nd Street, which is near Metroplex Medical Centre Fort Worth and the Bank of America Tower.

The preliminary investigation indicates that two suspects evaded police, leading them from Lake Worth to downtown Fort Worth. The men’s vehicle ultimately collided with another vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities arrested the two men, identified as Eloy Eleazar Jr. and Jorge Martinez, after a brief chase on foot.

Both men will face charges related to drug trafficking and other offenses.

The investigation is ongoing.
