Car strikes, kills 2 at Lamar and Corporate in Arlington
ARLINGTON, TX – Police are looking for a driver that fled the scene after hitting and fatally injuring two pedestrians in Arlington on Sunday, reports WFAA News 8.
The accident happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Lamar Boulevard and Corporate Drive, which is just north of I-30 and Six Flags Over Texas.
Authorities say that a man and woman were walking on the sidewalk along Lamar Boulevard when an eastbound car described as a silver Chevy Malibu hit them.
The victims died at the scene. Their identities have not yet been disclosed to the public.
Officials say the vehicle involved in the crash had temporary tags and continued driving east towards TX-36o instead of stopping to render aid. Police are looking for a silver Chevy Malibu with damage to its front end.
A full investigation is underway.
