Wrong-way crash on I-2 in Pharr claims Yeime Guzman
PHARR, TX – A 24-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Sunday in a head-on collision along I-2 in south-central Hidalgo County, reports ValleyCentral.
The accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on I-2 near Pharr Town Center in the city of Pharr. This is about 3 miles southeast of McAllen.
Police say that a westbound vehicle entered the eastbound side of I-2 and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
The wrong-way driver, identified as Yeime Guzman of Edinburg, died in the crash.
Medics transported the other driver and a passenger to an area hospital with undisclosed injuries.
It’s not yet clear if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
