Bayliff family homeless after car hits N Richland Hills home
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX – A vehicle struck a duplex in North Richland Hills on Sunday, leaving a mom and daughter homeless and their friend injured.
According to WFAA News 8, the incident occurred shortly after 10:45 a.m. at a house located along the eastbound service road for Northeast Loop 820, between Holiday Lane and Marilyn Lane.
Police say that a driver may have swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway when she lost control of her Jeep Liberty and crashed through the home of Sarah and Heather Bayliff.
Medics transported both the driver on the Jeep and a friend of the Bayliffs to the hospital with injuries. The friend had been sleeping in the living room when the vehicle struck him.
Officials have determined that the damage to the duplex is too extensive for repair.
No charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
