Draven Rains Avila, 24, killed in Austin motorcycle crash

AUSTIN, TX – A 25-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in north Austin, reports KXAN.

The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of West Parmer Lane and Ganymede Drive, which is in the Preston Oaks area, between Mopac and McNeil Drive.

Police say the collision involved a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle. They’ve not determined the cause of the crash or released any details about the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.

The motorcycle operator, identified as Draven Rains Avila, died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was not hurt and did stop to render aid and speak with authorities.

A full investigation is underway.
