Dominic Rene Gonzalez, 56, dies 9 days after Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – A 56-year-old man sustained fatal injuries in a major collision along the interstate in north Austin late last month, reports CBS Austin.

The crash occurred on Sunday, December 29, shortly after 1 p.m. on the southbound side of I-35 between Middle Fiskville Road and Diamondback Trail. This is in the North Lamar neighborhood.

Police haven’t shared any details regarding the wreck except to say that it involved two vehicles.

Medics transported one of the drivers, identified as Dominic Rene Gonzalez, to an area hospital where he died nine days later.

The other driver did not sustained injuries.
