Gloria Molina, 77, struck, killed in NW El Paso parking lot

EL PASO, TX – An elderly woman sustained fatal injuries last Sunday when a driver struck her in the parking lot of an El Paso convenience store, reports KTSM 9.

The incident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. at the Speedway gas station near the intersection of Doniphan Drive and North Mesa Street. This is west of I-10 and east of El Paso Country Club.

Police say that 77-year-old Gloria Molina was walking from the store when a 23-year-old driver hit her. The driver, they say, failed to notice the pedestrian while driving through the parking lot of the Speedway.

Medics transported Molina to an area hospital, where she died a day later.

It’s unclear if the driver will face charges in connection to the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
