Christopher Vargas killed in Midland Co. crash on TX-158
MIDLAND CO., TX – A 26-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi near Midland, reports NewsWest9.
Shortly before 7 a.m., emergency teams were called to the westbound side of TX-158 near County Road 160, which is just southeast of the city.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a westbound Ram 2500 rear-ended a westbound 18-wheeler.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Christopher Aaron Vargas of San Angelo, died at the scene.
The truck driver was unhurt in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
