Greg Sanchez, 41, killed in crash on US-285 near MM 364
REEVES CO., TX – A 41-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Friday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi along the highway in Reeves County, reports YourBasin.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. near mile marker 364 on the southbound side of US-285, which runs north to south on the east side of the county.
Police say that the driver of a southbound Toyota Tundra may have encountered low visibility during a sandstorm when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler.
The driver of the Toyota, identified as Greg Edward Sanchez of Monahans, died at the scene of the wreck.
This initial collision caused a chain reaction of crashes involving multiple vehicles. It’s unclear if any of the other drivers sustained injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
