Richard Rodeman, Christopher Lepine killed in head-on crash

SAN PATRICIO CO., TX – Two men died Sunday night in a wrong-way collision along FM 136 in northeastern San Patricio County, reports KRIS 6 News.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. near TX-188, which is southeast of Bayside and about 24 miles northeast of Corpus Christi.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a southbound 2025 Nissan Altima entered the wrong side of FM 136 and collided head-on with a northbound 2020 Chevrolet Equinox.

Both drivers were declared deceased at the scene after emergency crews worked to extract them from the wreckage.

Authorities identified the wrong-way driver as 45-year-old Richard Rodeman and the driver of the Chevy as 36-year-old Christopher Lepine.

Medics transported a passenger involved in the wreck to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
