Bradley Leonard, 68, killed Cedar Creek Reservoir crash

KAUFMAN CO., TX – A 68-year-old man died Saturday afternoon when his vehicle landed in a reservoir in southeast Kaufman County, reports KLTV 7.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. near Highway 175 just northwest of Mabank. This is about an hour southeast of Dallas.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a driver lost control of his eastbound vehicle, left the highway, and crashed into Cedar Creek Reservoir.

The vehicle became submerged, and rescue teams were unable to extricate the man before pulling his car from the water.

The driver died at the scene. Authorities identified him as Bradley Michael Leonard of Dallas.

There were no passengers in the vehicle.

A full investigation is underway.
