Cesar Josevan Espinosa Manso killed in Nolan Co. crash
NOLAN CO., TX – A 25-year-old man died Thursday morning in a 2-vehicle collision along a highway construction zone in southeast Nolan County, reports msn.
The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of TX-153 and County Road 196. This is northeast of Fort Chadbourne and about 43 miles southwest of Abilene.
Police say that an eastbound 2017 Peterbilt semi-truck struck a 2020 Kenworth dump truck towing a trailer when the latter vehicle turned onto TX-153 from County Road 196.
The crash impact caused the Peterbilt to overturn, killing the driver at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Cesar Josevan Espinosa Manso of Houston.
The driver of the dump truck, identified as 60-year-old Todd Gregory Bollinger, did not sustain injuries. Officials say the collision caused his truck to jackknife along the highway.
A full investigation is underway.
