Dwayne Homer, 48, killed in crash on I-20 in SW Dallas

DALLAS, TX – A 48-year-old man died Thursday night in a major accident along the interstate in southwest Dallas, reports WFAA News 8.

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-20 near the exit for Cedar Ridge Drive. This is just south of Camp Wisdom and east of the junction with TX-408.

Police haven’t yet released any information concerning additional injuries, the cause of the collision, or the number of vehicles involved.

Authorities identified the victim as 48-year-old Dwayne Andera Homer.

Officials closed all eastbound lanes of I-20 until around 10:30 p.m. while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene. They encouraged drivers to find alternate routes.
