Brock Davidson, 55, fatally injured in Midland Co. collision

MIDLAND CO., TX – A 55-year-old Florida man sustained fatal injuries Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident in east-central Midland County, reports NewsWest 9.

Emergency teams reported to the intersection of South County Road 1110 and County Road 173 around 6:15 a.m. This is just southwest of Midland.

Police say that an eastbound 2016 Ford F-350 collided with a southbound 2025 Chevrolet Silverado when the driver of the latter vehicle failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign.

Medics transported both drivers to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Chevy, identified as Brock D. Davidson of St. Johns, FL., died at the hospital.

The driver of the Ford, identified as 48-year-old Homar Hernandez of Eagle Pass, remains hospitalized.

A full investigation is underway.
