Betsey Rolston, 67, killed in 3-vehicle collision on Trimmier Rd

KILLEEN, TX – A 67-year-old woman died last Wednesday when a police chase involving a stolen Jeep ended in a multi-vehicle crash in south Killeen, reports KWTX 10.

The accident happened around noon just north of I-14 on Trimmier Road. This is northwest of Killeen Mall and south of Bellaire Drive.

Police say they were pursuing three teens, two 15-year-olds and one 14-year-old, in a stolen Jeep. While fleeing police, the driver of the southbound Jeep entered the northbound side of Trimmier Road and collided with a silver sedan. The sedan, in turn, crashed into a black pickup truck.

Authorities pronounced the driver of the sedan, since identified as Betsey Rolston, deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck and two passengers from the sedan were hospitalized with injuries of unknown severity.

All three teens in the Jeep fled the scene on foot and have since been found and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
