Wyatt Gary, Teresa Martin killed in crash on US-75 in Sherman

SHERMAN, TX – Two adults sustained fatal injuries Friday in a wrong-way crash along the highway in north-central Sherman, reports kxii 12.

The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. on US-75 near East Lamberth Road. This is northwest of Kroger and south of US-82.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a northbound vehicle entered the southbound side of US-75 and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.

The wrong-way driver, identified as 24-year-old Wyatt Gary, died at the scene of the wreck.

Medics airlifted the southbound driver, identified as 66-year-old Teresa Martin, to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Martin died not long after transport.

Officials closed US-75 in the vicinity of the collision while emergency teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
