Jessica Jo Gatlin, 42, claimed in bicycle crash in W Odessa

ODESSA, TX – A female cyclist died Friday evening in a collision involving a vehicle in east-central Ector County, reports YourBasin.

The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1936 and Blair Street, which is on the west side of Odessa.

Police say the victim entered the path of a southbound Suzuki Gran Vitara on FM 1936. The Suzuki and the bicycle collided, killing the cyclist at the scene of the wreck.

Authorities identified the victim as Jessica Jo Gatlin of Midland.

The driver of the Suzuki was not hurt in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
