Johanna Corrado, 45, claimed in crash near Monahans

WARD CO., TX – A 45-year-old woman died Friday evening in a two-vehicle accident in northeast Ward County, reports NewsWest 9.

The incident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Texas 464 Loop and TX-18. This is just northwest of Monhans.

Police say that a northbound 2014 Acura TSX and a southbound 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe collided when the driver of the Tahoe turned east without yielding right of way.

The driver of the Acura, identified as Johanna Corrado of Wink, died at the scene of the wreck.

Medics transported the driver of the Tahoe to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

It’s unclear if the driver of the Tahoe will face charges.
