Mary Wright, 85, fatally injured in Fort Worth semi crash
FORT WORTH, TX – An elderly woman sustained fatal injuries Wednesday in a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in west-central Fort Worth, reports Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The accident happened around 12:45 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-30 near Walsh Ranch Parkway. This is just west of Cook Children’s Urgent Care.
Police say the collision involved five passenger vehicles and an 18-wheeler. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the wreck or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.
One of two victims died not long after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified her as 85-year-old Mary Wright.
Officials closed the interstate in the area of the crash while emergency crews worked at the scene.
