Christian Climaco, 33, killed in pedestrian crash on TX-107

HIDALGO CO., TX – A 33-year-old woman died last Thursday when a vehicle struck her along the highway in south-central Hidalgo County, reports KRGV 5.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m., emergency teams responded to TX-107 near Bryan Road. This is in the northwestern outskirts of McAllen.

Police say the victim exited a moving vehicle on the highway. The vehicle then struck the pedestrian in the roadway, inflicting fatal injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as Christian Joana Climaco.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 33-year-old Marilyn Hernandez Magallanes, was arrested for DWI and making a false report to an officer.

A full investigation is underway.
