Willie Noel, Jr., 63, killed in Beaumont auto-ped collision

BEAUMONT, TX – A 63-year-old man died last Wednesday night when a vehicle struck him along a major roadway in central Beaumont, reports 12 News.

The accident happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. along North 11th Street between I-10 and Gladys Street. This is northeast of CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – St Elizabeth.

Police haven’t yet specified if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The pedestrian died at the scene. Authorities identified him as Willie Noel, Jr. of Beaumont

It’s unclear if the driver stopped to render aid and speak with officials.

A full investigation is underway.
