Alexa White, 35, killed in 10-vehicle crash in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, TX – A multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in south-central Williamson County killed a Fort Cavazos woman on Monday, reports Fox 7 Austin.

Around 11:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to a 10-vehicle pileup on I-35 near Ranch to Market 620. This is east of Round Rock High School and south of Memorial Park.

Police say that an initial rear-end collision caused by a lane change prompted a chain-reaction of subsequent crashes. The series of wrecks continued when a northbound dump truck was forced into traffic on the southbound side of I-35.

One person, since identified as 35-year-old Alexa White, sustained fatal injuries.

Medics took three additional victims to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Motorists undoubtedly encountered significant delays along the interstate in Round Rock while crews worked to help the victims and clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
