Paul Ballard, 62, fatally injured in El Paso motorcycle crash

EL PASO, TX – A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Sunday when a vehicle struck him at a major intersection in the Paseos del Sol area of El Paso, reports KFOX 14. 

The incident occurred shortly before 4:45 p.m. at Vista Del Sol Drive and Paseo Grande Street, which is just southeast of El Paso County Sportspark.

Police say that a northbound car struck an eastbound motorcycle when the driver of the car entered the intersection to make a left turn on Vista del Sol Drive.

The motorcyclist, since identified as 62-year-old Paul Ballard, died after transport to an area hospital.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the wreck.

It’s unclear if the other driver will face charges.

A full investigation is underway.
