Semi-truck strikes, kills Brayden Avery, 18, in Johnson Co.
CLEBURNE, TX – An 18-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday morning in an auto-pedestrian crash in central Johnson County, reports NBC DFW 5.
The accident happened shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and Williams Avenue in the city of Cleburne. This is about 33 miles south of Fort Worth.
Police say that Brayden Avery was walking across Main Street when a southbound 18-wheeler hit him.
Avery died after transport by air ambulance to an area hospital.
It’s unclear if the victim was utilizing a designated crosswalk when the wreck occurred, and there’s no word yet regarding charges.
