James Wallace, 63, killed in Mitchell Co. motorcycle accident

The accident happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. along Interstate 20 Business near mile marker 346. This is west of Abilene and near Colorado City.

The motorcycle operator, identified as 63-year-old James Edward Wallace, died after transport to an area hospital. It’s unclear if Wallace was wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash.
The other driver did not sustain injuries in the wreck, and no charges have been announced thus far.
