Raymond Rodriguez struck, killed in Midland auto-ped crash
MIDLAND, TX – A man sustained fatal injuries Wednesday night when a vehicle hit him along the highway in southeast Midland, reports mrt.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on the Garden City Highway, or TX-158, between Henderson Street and King Street. This is north of I-20 in the Overstreet area.
Police say that Raymond Rodriguez was walking across the highway when a westbound 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe struck and killed him.
The victim was in his 60s and lived in Midland.
Officials say the driver of the SUV had trouble seeing the pedestrian in the dark. They’ve not referenced any charges, and the wreck has not been classified as a hit-and-run.
