Tayler Ross, 31, claimed in accident along Gulf Fwy in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – Two people died Saturday morning in a series of collisions that happened along the freeway in southeast Houston, reports My Texas Daily.
Emergency crews were called to the area of 6001 Gulf Freeway southbound shortly before 1:30 a.m. after reports of a fatality accident.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a hit-and-run driver rear-ended a black Ford Focus. The driver of a black Ford Explorer stopped and exited her vehicle to offer aid to the driver of the Focus. A southbound Mitsubishi Mirage then crashed into the Focus and struck the pedestrian from the Explorer.
The female pedestrian, identified as 31-year-old Tayler Ross, died at the scene, as did the driver of the Focus. The second victim has not yet been identified.
Medics transported the driver of the Mirage to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
Police continue to search for the hit-and-run driver involved in the collision. Anyone with information or tips to share can contact the Houston Police Department.
