Jesse Hartshorne, 71, killed in Bexar Co. auto-ped crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 71-year-old man sustained fatal injuries last Wednesday when a vehicle struck him along a busy roadway in northwest San Antonio, reports KSAT 12 News.

The accident happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Braun Road between Single Spur and Alisa Brooke. This is near Braun Hall and just east of West Loop 1604 North.

Police say that Jesse T Hartshorne was crossing Braun Road outside of a designated crosswalk in the dark when a vehicle hit him.

Hartshorne died while medics were prepping him for transport to the hospital.

The driver involved in the crash did stop to render aid and speak with authorities. Another driver also stopped after narrowly avoiding the pedestrian.

A full investigation is underway.
