Hector Bococ, Maria Maquin killed in Bell Co. rear-end crash

TROY, TX – A two-vehicle accident along the interstate in northeast Bell County claimed the lives of two adults Saturday morning, reports KCENTV 6.

Shortly after 8 a.m., emergency teams responded to a major crash on the ramp for Exit 311 of I-35. This is on the north side of Troy, about 27 miles southwest of Waco.

Police say that a Kia Optima rear-ended a Dodge Ram Pickup on the shoulder of the ramp, killing two adults that were changing a flat tire on the Dodge.

Authorities identified the victims as 34-year-old Maria Maquin and 35-year-old Hector Bococ, both of Cedar Park.

A child or teen standing near the scene of the crash went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Nobody in the Kia sustained injuries in the wreck.

A full investigation is underway.
