Bryan Ordaz-Reyes, Braxton Amador killed in Gray Co. crash
GRAY CO., TX – Two Dumas men died early Saturday from injuries sustained in a semi-truck crash near Amarillo, reports News Channel 10.
The accident happened shortly after 2:15 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-40 near Alanreed. This is about 66 miles east of Amarillo.
Police say that an eastbound 18-wheeler struck a disabled 2018 Chevrolet Camaro along the interstate. The force of the collision threw the driver, identified as 21-year-old Bryan Ordaz-Reyes, from the vehicle.
Both Ordaz-Reyes and a passenger from the Camaro, identified as 19-year-old Braxton Amador, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the accident and claimed not to have seen the Camaro due to dark and rainy conditions.
A full investigation is underway.
