Nayda Velez de Guijarro killed in San Antonio T-bone crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 50-year-old woman died, and one other person sustained injuries Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in northeast San Antonio, reports KSAT 12.

The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Harry Wurzbach Road and Dalewood Place, which is just south of Connally Loop in the Oakwell Farms area.

Police say that a southbound 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 t-boned a black 2005 Toyota Tacoma as the latter vehicle was turning left on Dalewood Place.

A passenger in the Tacoma, identified as Nayda Velez de Guijarro, died at the scene of the crash.

Medics transported the driver of the Tacoma to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Authorities say the driver of the Ram was speeding when the collision occurred and may face charges.

Motorists likely faced delays in the area of the wreck while emergency crews gathered evidence, assisted the victims, and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
