Plano motorcycle crash claims Elvin Bonilla, Carmina Ramirez

PLANO, TX – A two-vehicle collision in Collin County fatally injured two people on a motorcycle and hurt one other person Saturday evening, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The accident occurred around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and Del Sol Drive, which is south of Shoshoni Park and north of President George Bush Turnpike.

Police say that an eastbound pickup truck entered the path of a westbound motorcycle when the driver of the former vehicle initiated a left turn onto Del Sol Drive. This resulted in a T-bone collision in the intersection.

Both the motorcycle operator and a passenger on the motorcycle succumbed to their injuries after transport to an area hospital.

Authorities identified the victims as 21-year-old Elvin Bonilla and 58-year-old Carmina Ramirez.

Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck, described as a 33-year-old male, to the hospital with minor injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
