Head-on crash in San Antonio claims Emiliano Salas Gomez, 23
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A wrong-way collision in southeast San Antonio fatally injured a 23-year-old man last Wednesday night night, reports KSAT 12.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the area of 4100 South WW White Road, which is just west of I-410 and south of Salado Elementary School.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a northbound Nissan Versa entered the southbound side of South WW White Road and collided head-on with a southbound Nissan Altima.
The wrong-way driver, later identified as 23-year-old Emiliano Salas Gomez, died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Altima did not require hospitalization.
Motorists likely encountered delays in the area of the accident while emergency crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
