Conda Hagler, 58, injured in Shelby County crash on US-96

SHELBY CO., TX – A 58-year-old woman sustained injuries Sunday in a two-vehicle collision in south-central Shelby County, reports Shelby County Today.

The East Texas injury crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the southbound side of US-96 at County Road 1015. This is between San Augustine and Center and about 37 miles northeast of Nacogdoches.

Police say that a southbound 2019 Ford pickup truck struck the front left side of a 2019 Nissan Versa when the driver of the latter vehicle attempted to make a U-turn at County Road 1015.

Medics transported the driver of the Nissan, identified as Conda Hagler, to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

The 61-year-old driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the crash.

Police issued a citation to Hagler for making an improper U-turn without sufficient visibility.

A full investigation is underway.
