Bobby Trevino, 49, killed in Memorial Day weekend collision
GAINES CO., TX – A single-vehicle rollover accident along the highway in northwest Gaines County killed one person and injured another Saturday afternoon.
According to KCBD 11, the solo crash happened around 12:30 p.m. in the area of TX-83 and County Road 217, or Old Crawford Road. This is just southeast of Denver City and about 80 miles southwest of Lubbock.
Police say that for unknown reasons, 49-year-old Bobby Trevino lost control of his 2003 GMC Yukon XL, left the highway, and overturned.
Medics transported a female passenger from the SUV to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Trevino succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Toxicology results are still pending.
A full investigation is underway.
