Stephanie Stange, 55, claimed in Denison bicycle collision

DENISON, TX – A 55-year-old bicyclist sustained fatal injuries last Thursday when a vehicle hit her along the highway in northeast Grayson County, reports KXII 12.

Just before 6 p.m., emergency crews were called to a fatal bike crash on US-69 near Starr Road in southeast Denison. This is about 75 miles northeast of Dallas.

Police say that a pickup truck struck Stephanie Stange as she was crossing the highway near Starr Road.

The cyclist succumbed to her injuries after transport to Texoma Medical Center.

The driver of the pickup truck was unhurt in the accident.

Motorists likely faced delays along US-69 in the area of the collision Thursday evening while crews worked to clear the scene.

There’s no word yet regarding charges.
