15-year-old killed in ATV crash at W Burkett and S Almond

ODESSA, TX – A collision involving an all-terrain vehicle and one other vehicle killed a teen in Odessa last last week, reports NewsWest 9.

The fatal accident occurred Friday at the intersection of West Burkett Street and South Almond Avenue, which is just north of I-20 on the south side of West Odessa.

Police say that an eastbound 2024 Can-Am Maverick X3 carrying two people collided with a northbound Chevrolet Silverado carrying two people.

The ATV overturned, ejecting a 15-year-old passenger, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the ATV, identified as 18-year-old Itzen Muro, sustained minor injuries. It’s unclear if he required hospitalization.

The 22-year-old Presidio man driving the Chevy also sustained minor injuries.

There’s no word regarding charges at this time.

A full investigation is underway.
