Lisa Gail Cooper, 66, killed in 3-vehicle collision in SE Austin
AUSTIN, TX – One person died in a multi-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in southeast Austin on Wednesday night, reports KVUE.
Austin Police and medics were called to a fatal collision on the westbound frontage road of East Ben White Boulevard at East Riverside Drive around 9 p.m. This is just west of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in the Montopolis neighborhood.
APD says the accident involved two sedans and a pickup truck. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash or the manner in which the vehicles impacted.
Medics transported the female driver of one of the sedans to an area hospital. The victim, since identified as 66-year-old Lisa Gail Cooper, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
It’s unclear if anyone else involved in the accident required hospitalization. None of the other injuries were serious.
