Raymundo Martinez IDed as victim in El Paso crash on Doniphan

EL PASO, TX – A two-vehicle collision on the northwest side of El Paso claimed the life of a 41-year-old man last Friday night, reports KFOX 14.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a major crash at the intersection of Doniphan Drive and Redd Road, which is just west of I-10 in the Ridge neighborhood.

Authorities say that the driver of a 2016 Dodge Journey attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection and struck a northbound 2005 Chrysler 300.

The driver of the Chrysler, identified as Raymundo Carlos Martinez, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics also transported a child from the Chrysler and the driver of the Dodge to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

It’s unclear if the driver of the Dodge will face charges in connection to the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
