Police name Ian Jordan as victim in Longview pedestrian crash

LONGVIEW, TX – Authorities have identified the 36-year-old man that died last month in an auto-pedestrian accident on the northwest side of Longview.

According to CBS 19, the incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28th, on Pine Tree Road between East Pirate Street and Birch Drive. This is just southeast of Pine Tree Primary School.

Police say that a pedestrian entered the roadway without yielding to oncoming traffic. A pickup truck struck the pedestrian, who succumbed to their injuries after transport to an area hospital.

Officials identified the victim as Ian Michael Jordan.

Authorities have not released the name of the 19-year-old driver involved in the accident. No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
