21-year-old Blaze Jeremy Rhoden killed in car-semi crash in Midland

MIDLAND, TX – A car driver, later identified as 21-year-old Blaze Jeremy Rhoden, was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on Thursday, June 19.

The Texas Department of Public Safety told FirstAlert7 that the events unfolded before 9:30 p.m., when Rhoden, driving a car, failed to maintain a lane while driving on CR 120 and crashed into two mailboxes. The initial force of the collision pushed the car forward, causing it to crash into a parked semi-truck located on the CR 120 dirt shoulder.

Rhoden succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while his passenger was hospitalized for serious injuries.

DPS has not confirmed whether the truck was occupied at the time of the collision and has not reported any other injuries.
