Derrik Foote, 35, struck and killed on I-20 WB in Duncanville

DUNCANVILLE, TX – A 35-year-old man died over the weekend from injuries sustained when a vehicle struck him along the interstate in Duncanville.

According to WFAA News 8, the accident occurred early Saturday morning on the westbound side of I-20 near Duncanville Road, which is north of Kroger and south of Redbird Skateland.

Police haven’t yet clarified if the pedestrian was walking along the shoulder or in a lane of traffic when the westbound vehicle hit him.

Authorities declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene, identifying him as 35-year-old Derik Foote.

Officials haven’t disclosed any details about the driver involved in the crash.

No charges have been referenced thus far.
