Enrique Gomez killed in bicycle hit-and-run in SE Tyler
TYLER, TX – A man died last Thursday in auto-bicycle collision on the southeastern outskirts of Tyler, reports CBS 19.
The incident occurred late at night on TX-64 between Big Oak Bay Road and Old Henderson Highway near FM 3226. This is past Bascom and Chapel Hill.
Police say the driver involved in the collision did not stop to render aid or to speak with authorities.
The cyclist, identified as Enrique Gomez, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities found him unresponsive sometime after the crash.
Officials haven’t yet released any details about a suspect driver or vehicle.
