Cody McCuan, 24, killed in T-bone crash near Robinson and N Mesa

EL PASO, TX – A 24-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries last Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision along a major roadway in central El Paso, reports KTSM 9.

Crews responded to calls regarding a T-bone crash just after 9 p.m. along North Mesa Street between West Robinson Avenue and Boston Avenue. This is just east of the University of Texas at El Paso.

Police say that a northbound motorcycle crashed into the side of an SUV as the latter vehicle pulled onto the roadway from a private drive and failed to yield right of way at a stop sign.

The motorcyclist, who was later identified as Cody Arthur McCuan, died after transport to an area hospital.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.

Officials say that McCuan was likely speeding when the accident occurred.

A full investigation is underway.
