Raymond Massey killed in El Paso crash caused by medical episode
EL PASO, TX – El Paso PD says that a medical event may have caused the two-vehicle crash that killed a 50-year-old man on Wednesday in the North Hills.
According to CBS 4 News, the incident occurred in the area of Gateway North Boulevard and Kenworthy Street, which is just east of US-54 and north of Albertson’s.
Officials say that a Chevy Trax SUV rear-ended a gold Chevy Avalanche just after the driver of the Trax exited US-54 onto Gateway North. The Trax then hit a concrete wall in the intersection.
The driver of the Trax, identified as Raymond Lee Ervin Massey, sustained fatal injuries.
The driver of the Avalanche was not hurt in the collision.
Motorists likely encountered delays in the area of Gateway North and Kenworthy while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway. Anyone with information or tips to share about the crash can contact the El Paso Police Department.
