Motorcycle vs. car crash in Lubbock claims Michael Glover, 24

LUBBOCK, TX – One man died, and another sustained injuries Saturday in a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in southwest Lubbock, reports everythingLubbock.

Shortly after 3:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a major accident at the intersection of 82nd Street and Upland Avenue, which is east of US-62 and southwest of South Plains Mall.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash but say that an eastbound motorcycle collided with a southbound passenger vehicle.

The motorcyclist, identified as 24-year-old Michael Glover, died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the passenger vehicle to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Motorists likely encountered delays in the area of 82nd and Upland early Saturday while teams gathered evidence and worked at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
